H2O: Supporting Digital Casebooks in the Law School Classroom

Speaker(s):

As the user base for H2O – the Harvard Law School Library and Berkman Center for Information and Society’s digital casebook suite - grows within Harvard Law School and beyond, library and instructional technology staff must adapt to new challenges in providing support to professors and students. This includes not just faculty requests to add new cases and courses to the system, but developing workflows (and finding resources!) to add non-case material, training faculty to edit content themselves, and reaching students to let them know how H2O’s functionality can save them money and time, both when reading for class and taking notes/creating outlines.
In this session, H2O staff will share their experiences working with faculty and students to make all of this work smoothly, while offering tips and strategies for librarians and instructional technologists at other law schools to support their faculty and students as they adopt H2O for their own classes.
