The librarians in many Federal Depository Libraries have been using DOCS2000 for the past 15 years.  With the end of support for Windows XP, there’s a good chance of DOCS2000 no longer working in a newer Windows environment, especially if they end up running a 64-bit OS.  We encountered that problem as we began moving our users to Windows 7 x64 a couple years ago.  Initially, we tried a lot of things to make it work, but no joy.  Finally, I ended up writing a Perl script named DOCS2012 to replace the basic functionality of DOCS2000.  It has functioned acceptab
