"From Classroom to Clinic: Unbound in Time and Space"
This session will expand on previous CALI presentations of "Faculty As End Users of Technology" and return to a discussion on teaching and technology. Greg Clinton, Director of Information Technology will moderate while Professor Beckwith will discuss teaching techniques and best practices in a smart classroom, emphasizing effective use of computer, audio, and video enhancements. He will discuss classroom capture systems and the advantages of a split-screen archive that is searchable by the minute on a given date. He will contrast evolving courtroom technology with that of the classroom. The same issues that confront students in a classroom apply to jurors, judges, and other participants in a courtroom. Pamela Glean, Assistant Dean for Clinical Programs will discuss clinic and courtroom technology.
