Using Video Communications to Support Distance Instruction

This session examines distance learning trends in legal education, including classroom design, software platforms, and new instructional approaches that use real-time video communications to teach law school courses. The ABA will soon be loosening restrictions on distance instruction to allow more distance credits that can be used to satisfy graduation requirements (15) and more distance credits that can be taken in a single semester (15). With these changes, we will likely see a new round of distance learning experimentation in legal education. This session explores these changes and assesses their impact.
