Bio:
Jason Scott's panopoly of roles has come from a lifetime of not walking away and rarely saying "no". Besides his work in computer history with sites such as textfiles.com or his tech history documentaries like BBS and GET LAMP, he is also the mascot of "Archive Team", a rogue band of activist archivists who function as the angriest "Hard Drive of Last Resort" in the face of unwarranted shutdowns and data loss. He is currently a "free range archivist" at the Internet Archive in San Francisco, itself dedicated to preserving the digital world and the digitization of much that isn't yet digital. He has a problematically famous cat and a dangerously high energy level.
