An IT Evolution

Presenter(s):
Tom Ryan, Rutgers, The State University of NJ, Camden
Tim DiVito, Rutgers, The State University of NJ, Camden
John Joergensen, Rutgers, The State University of NJ, Newark

Change is everywhere. If you believe some news reports, the Law School landscape is especially tenuous. Budgets have already been stretched for many years and the recent changes in applications and enrollments have only increased the challenges and concerns now facing not just Law IT Departments, but the unit as a whole. While some may consider this situation perilous, this candid and frank discussion will cover two departments adaption to change and the positive impact that this can have for all in the changing dynamics of legal education.

After a brief introduction on some of the changes taking place at the presenters' institution, attendees will take part in a "semi-birds-of-a-feather" discussion where everyone will have a chance to speak openly about the possible future role their unit will play on campus and brainstorm ways in which their department can get out ahead of the wave of change that many are expecting in the next few years.

Please note that this session will not be recorded in order to provide for and encourage as open a dialog as possible.
