A QR Code is a matrix code similar to a bar code.   Most mobile phones with a camera can read QR Codes.   URLs, text, phone numbers and SMS messages can be embedded in a QR code.  Students rely on their cell phones to access data.  At the FSU Law School Research Center we have begun adding QR codes to research guides and other materials on both the paper version and the web version.  Students can download these documents to their cell phones by invoking their QR Code reader and then just holding the phone over the QR Code.   The FSU Law School Research Center is also working on short online tutorials that students will be able to access from their cell phones via a QR Code.
