Libraries and law schools have been using video recordings as part of multimedia technology for years. From school events to class lectures, there is an increasing need for continuing to do so since patrons love to view video content on-line.

This session will introduce the hardware and software for video recording, editing, and hosting. From cheap solutions to high-end solutions, from open-source programs to commercial programs, this session will provide in-depth knowledge of video production solutions that will fit any school or library. Pros and cons of different video formats and methods of integrating video content online will also be discussed. The speaker will share his experiences and solutions on developing Web-based video players and acquiring/creating video content for the players in a law school environment.
