Bad Traffic, Malicious Actors, and Existential Angst.

Session will cover a rework of the CALI infrastructure after upgrading to Drupal 7. Discussed topics will be what bad traffic looks like, how it manifests on individual services (such as a webserver) and how to deal with it in a cloud and/or brick mortar infrastructure. Specific topics preseted will be log analysis, both for general site management and spotting potential malicioius anomolies and autonomous responce to potential attacks. We will look at what modern load balancers can do to manage traffic and prevent attacks. Also, presented will be topics reguarding firewalls and their limitations in certain infrastructures. As all this effects the end users, we will examine what these facilities look like on the patron end and how they effect the usablilty and user experince.  We may breifly talk about password managers, encryption, and other security tools available for end users.
