[CALIcon15 Presenters] CALIcon15 is just 1 week away -- Long, but important

Howdy folks!
In just a week the CALI staff will be in Denver at the law school stuffing goodies into this year's conference bag! Then CALIcon15 gets underway on Thursday June 18, just 8 days away. I've got a few notes and reminders for you. First let me say thank you again for volunteering to present at this year's CALIcon. It is the great speakers from the community that make this such a great conference.
Notes and reminders:

  • Please join the CALIcon15 Slack community and the #presenters channel there. I'm going to be using that channel to communicate with y'all, so if you don't want to miss anything you better get signed up. Visit http://calicon15.cali.org/ and enter your email address to get started.
  • We are expecting about 250 people at the conference this year. That's a smaller crowd than in recent years but the sessions, meals, and breaks are all on the first floor of the law school so it is likely to still feel crowded.
  • We are going to stream all of the sessions this year using the law school's Panopto system. Links for the streams will be available on the conference website.
  • All sessions will be recorded and the video will be posted to CALI's YouTube channel within a couple of days. All of the video should be online by the week following the conference.
  • There is a channel for each room in the CALIcon15 Slack community. You should plan on looking in there for questions during your presentation. You may want to ask someone in the room to help monitor that.
  • There will be a laptop in each room to use if you have an issue with yours. You should plan on bringing a laptop with you (this is that sort of conference after all) and have a copy of your presentation on a USB drive of some sort in case it's needed as a back up.
  • Please review the presenter notes at http://cca.li/xs for more details. I'll be putting those notes in the #presenter channel too.
  • There will be a short, optional, informal presenters' meeting on Wednesday June 17 at 6:00 PM at the conference hotel. I'll be on hand to answer any last minute questions and give you a quick run down on what to expect. We typically tag this onto the end of the pre-registration function. I'll post details as to the exact location in the hotel on Slack. (remember visit http://calicon15.cali.org/ to join).
  • Please feel free to contact at emasters@cali.org or @elmer on Slack if you have any questions or concerns.
  • Finally, have fun! CALIcon is about being part of a community of peers and interacting weith that community so enjoy the sessions, ask lots of questions, and answer lots of questions too.

See you next week!
