CALIcon15 Keynotes - Zeynep Tufekci and Alan Levine

CALI is very pleased to announce two world class thinkers, speakers and writers about technology and education.  

Zeynap Tufecki is  an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill at at the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) with an affiliate appointment in the Department of Sociology.  She was previously a fellow at the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University.  She also taught at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and International Affairs and was fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.  She remains affiliated with both organizations.  You can get a sneak preview and  view her writing in the New York Times, Medium and on her website.
Alan Levine is recognized for expertise in the application of new technologies to education. Currently on a four month fellowship as an Open Learning Scholar at Thompson Rivers University, he typically fills time consulting with higher educational institutions on digital technologies and the affordances of the open web. Previously, he has served as an instructional technology specialist at the University of Mary Washington, following leadership positions at the New Media Consortium and the Maricopa Community Colleges.   He shares his ideas and discoveries at CogDogBlog.
